GWIZURUKUNDO MINISTRY
1. Introduction
Gwizurukundo Ministry is a Christian-based organization operating under Kingdom Fellowship Church. It was founded to demonstrate the love and compassion of Christ through practical acts of kindness. Our mission is to bring hope and care to the most vulnerable members of society, including the sick, the poor, and orphaned children. We believe that showing love in action is one of the greatest ways to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
2. Our Main Activities
Gwizurukundo Ministry carries out several outreach programs aimed at helping those in need:
a. Hospital Outreach – Kibagabaga Hospital
We regularly visit patients at Kibagabaga Hospital, providing them with food, clothing, and words of encouragement. Our volunteers spend time praying with the sick, comforting their families, and showing them that they are not alone during difficult times.
In some cases, we also assist patients who cannot afford hospital bills, ensuring they receive proper treatment and can return home with dignity.
b. Support for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children
Gwizurukundo Ministry extends its love to orphans and vulnerable children by providing:
-
School fees and educational materials such as books, pens, and uniforms.
-
Food and clothing to support their basic needs.
-
Adoption and family care, where some members of our ministry open their homes to care for orphaned children, raising them as part of their own families.
c. Community and Spiritual Support
Beyond material assistance, our team shares the message of faith, hope, and love. We encourage both patients and families to trust in God and believe in the power of His healing and provision.
3. Achievements
Through the grace of God and the support of Kingdom Fellowship Church members and friends, Gwizurukundo Ministry has:
-
Supported dozens of patients at Kibagabaga Hospital with food, clothes, and hospital bills.
-
Helped many orphaned children return to school with full educational materials.
-
Created a network of loving families who have adopted orphans and given them new homes.
4. Challenges
While the ministry continues to grow, we face some challenges such as:
-
Limited financial resources to cover all hospital bills and school fees.
-
Shortage of volunteers during outreach visits.
-
Transportation difficulties when delivering food and supplies.
5. Future Plans
Gwizurukundo Ministry plans to:
-
Expand hospital visits to other hospitals in Kigali and nearby districts.
-
Establish a Gwizurukundo Children’s Home for orphans.
-
Strengthen partnerships with Kingdom Fellowship Church, local churches, businesses, and donors to increase impact.
-
Create income-generating projects to sustain our ministry work.
6. Conclusion
Gwizurukundo Ministry, operating under Kingdom Fellowship Church, continues to be a light of hope to the sick, the poor, and the orphaned. We believe that true religion is caring for those in need, as written in James 1:27. With continued support, prayers, and generosity, we will keep transforming lives and spreading God’s love throughout our communities.
